What Did Hillary Know And When Did She Know It? Murphy And Malloy Put Their Shoulders To The Wheel

Thanks to a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information suit, we now may definitively answer the question “Who knew what and when did they know it?” concerning the attack on the American Embassy compound in Benghazi, Libya.

American Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other heroic Americans died in the terrorist assault on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

Almost immediately after the 9/11 assault on the compound, the attack was attributed by then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Barrack Obama and, most conspicuously, UN Ambassador Susan Rice to an obscure, poorly produced video that had insulted Mohammed, Islam’s warrior prophet, peace be upon him.

These assertions were not only false; they were politically expedient. At the time of the 9/11 attack on the American compound -- a date of great significance to the enemies of the Great Satan, Iran most voluble among them – the Obama administration was in the midst of a re-election campaign, which had advanced the notion that al-Qaida had been dealt a crippling blow following the assassination of Sheikh Osama bin Laden. Subsequent events have shown this intentional misreading of events to be highly fanciful.

The documents uncovered by Judicial Watch demonstrate:

The attack on the compound, well-organized 10 days before the assault, was not even remotely related to the video that loomed so large in the Obama administrations’ multiple renderings of the deadly assault. And, more importantly, the documents show that U.S. Intelligence agencies were fully aware that weapons were moving from the terrorist stronghold in Libya to Syria before the attack. While acknowledging that the CIA was monitoring the movement of weapons,

To put the inconvenient truth in precise terms: An October 12, 2012 memo that surfaced during Judicial Watch’s FOI suit shows that the CIA was monitoring a Benghazi to Syria gun-running operation ten or more days BEFORE the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012 that killed Ambassador Stevens and 3 other Americans. In an interview with Fox’s Bret Baier, former acting CIA Director Mike Morell acknowledged that the CIA, while not directly involved in the shipments, had been monitoring the transfer of arms and missiles. He refrained from identifying the gun-runners.

It is becoming plain that Libya is the Democrat’s Iraq. The usual Democratic line on Iraq is that President George Bush should not have ousted the insufferable Saddam Hussein and, by so doing, he opened a terrorist Pandora’s Box in the Middle East. The overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, the Clinton-Obama project, presents the same scenario. Moreover, before Gaddafi was offed by the Clinton-Obama hit squad, he had shown signs of mending his eccentric ways; for instance, Gaddafi had voluntarily destroyed all his chemical weapons. The Middle East now is a mess of major proportions because the Obama administration and its twinkling foreign policy star, Hillary Clinton, had decided to transfer the military might of the United States from Iraq, George Bush’s “war of choice,” to Afghanistan, Barack Obama’s “war of necessity” – all this to fulfill Mr. Obama’s campaign promises.

Shortly after Mrs. Clinton surrendered her Middle East portfolio to present Secretary of State John Kerry, Vietnam’s Winter Soldier, Mr. Obama surrendered his Middle East portfolio to President Vladimir Putin, the butcher of Ukraine. This means that the future of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East will be determined by Mr. Putin and his clients, among them Iran and Bashir Assad's Syria.

It is said that Mr. Malloy, weary of the mess in his own state, is angling for a position in the new Clinton administration, perhaps Secretary of Gun Control. Mr. Murphy – who, along with U.S. Senator Dick Blumenthal, Connecticut’s first consumer protection Congressman, energetically supported Mr. Obama’s unsigned and unverifiable anti-Israeli pact with Iran – appears to be happy where he is. The Iran-Obama pact suspended a viable economic embargo against Iran, one of Mr. Putin's new Middle East satellite states, and opened the tap to billions of Western dollars, some of which doubtless will be used to purchase more offensive missile capabilities from both Mr. Putin and Communist China.

Mr. Obama's Middle East foreign policy is beginning to take on the appearance of a Keystone Cops intervention. Mr. Obama will hand over his mess to the next president, possibly Mrs. Clinton, whose campaign in Iowa last week received two new recruits, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy and Governor of Connecticut Dannel Malloy.

On past occasions, whenever Democratic presidential nominees have carried Connecticut, the party’s U.S Senate nominees also have been swept into office, a pattern unbroken since 1940. That pattern has held firm in 16 out of 19 contests, 84 percent of the time—reason enough for Mr. Malloy and Mr. Murphy to support a candidate for President hobbled by several Achilles Heels.

The Blumenthal Burisma Connection

Steve Hilton , a Fox News commentator who over the weekend had connected some Burisma corruption dots, had this to say about Connecticut U.S. Senator Dick Blumenthal’s association with the tangled knot of corruption in Ukraine: “We cross-referenced the Senate co-sponsors of Ed Markey's Ukraine gas bill with the list of Democrats whom Burisma lobbyist, David Leiter, routinely gave money to and found another one -- one of the most sanctimonious of them all, actually -- Sen. Richard Blumenthal."

Powell, the JI, And Economic literacy

Powell, Pesci Substack The Journal Inquirer (JI), one of the last independent newspapers in Connecticut, is now a part of the Hearst Media chain. Hearst has been growing by leaps and bounds in the state during the last decade. At the same time, many newspapers in Connecticut have shrunk in size, the result, some people seem to think, of ad revenue smaller newspapers have lost to internet sites and a declining newspaper reading public. Surviving papers are now seeking to recover the lost revenue by erecting “pay walls.” Like most besieged businesses, newspapers also are attempting to recoup lost revenue through staff reductions, reductions in the size of the product – both candy bars and newspapers are much smaller than they had been in the past – and sell-offs to larger chains that operate according to the social Darwinian principles of monopolistic “red in tooth and claw” giant corporations. The first principle of the successful mega-firm is: Buy out your predator before he swallows

Down The Rabbit Hole, A Book Review

Down the Rabbit Hole How the Culture of Corrections Encourages Crime by Brent McCall & Michael Liebowitz Available at Amazon Price: $12.95/softcover, 337 pages   “ Down the Rabbit Hole: How the Culture of Corrections Encourages Crime ,” a penological eye-opener, is written by two Connecticut prisoners, Brent McCall and Michael Liebowitz. Their book is an analytical work, not merely a page-turner prison drama, and it provides serious answers to the question: Why is reoffending a more likely outcome than rehabilitation in the wake of a prison sentence? The multiple answers to this central question are not at all obvious. Before picking up the book, the reader would be well advised to shed his preconceptions and also slough off the highly misleading claims of prison officials concerning the efficacy of programs developed by dusty old experts who have never had an honest discussion with a real convict. Some of the experts are more convincing cons than the cons, p
