Connecticut Commentary: Red Notes from a Blue State

Readers will wait in vain for respectable media outlets – The New York Times, Al Jezeera – to call by their right names the Jew hating terrorists who first tortured and mutilated their victims before assassinating them. Both Al Jezzera and the Guardian, a left leaning British paper, characterize the terrorists as “gunmen.” CNN, an outpost of the Obama administration, calls them "militants." The authoritative New York Times reckoned that Chabad House, the scene of carnage and torture in Mumbai, was possibly “an accidental hostage scene.” Pop-psychologist Deepak Chopra characterized the scene of torture and murder as “collateral damage” resulting from the US war on terrorism and the Iraq war.
