The majority of the rank and file voted for Plan A.

If the union leaders are really trying to change the outcome of the SEBAC vote, it means they are trying to change the rules to ensure that the majority wins. That's not un-democratic. Majority rules is how most Democratic decisions get made.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9069955.post-22557247263879151772011-06-29T10:46:03.786-04:002011-06-29T10:46:03.786-04:00I finally took a quick scan of the SEBAC concessio...I finally took a quick scan of the SEBAC concession proposal. In this I agree with the Corrections Union, the "value added" health plan is truly awful. The Yankee Institute didn't have to disparage it, it sounds awful the way SEBAC wrote it. It is an orwellian mismosh of mandated programs, compliance checking and similar loss of free choice.

Beyond that the $100M it is supposed to save is unsupportable by any type of evidence.dmoellinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13128088863830769762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9069955.post-3338521763019241042011-06-29T08:38:55.636-04:002011-06-29T08:38:55.636-04:00While channel surfing last week , I came across th...While channel surfing last week , I came across the DOC guard graduation ceremony on the public access station. It was nice to see my tax dollars support the DOC bagpipe players decked out in their full ornamental dress no doubt collecting OT while performing. They must rehearse quite often as they played extremely well. Let the layoffs begin.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
