He is obsessed with GOP malfeasance rather than positions and performance. My opinion is that electing the McKinneys and Caferos is asking for favor trading since they have only a limited allegiance to small government principles. The election of actual Felons on the Dem side raises no interest on Broad Street.dmoellinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13128088863830769762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9069955.post-27780085117369167092014-04-04T09:28:19.878-04:002014-04-04T09:28:19.878-04:00I know a lot of folks, some in my own family, who ...I know a lot of folks, some in my own family, who are extremely cynical about politics and the professionals who practice it. Don't get me wrong, a good bit of cynicism is appropriate (at this point), but the extremist asserts that they are all corrupt, they all lie, they are all unprincipled careerists. What's annoying is that these extreme cynics are often progressive egalitarians who refuse to see the direct correlation between activist government and corruption. What's doubly annoying is when their commitment to cynicism, their celebration of their courageous muck-raking, allows them to attack individuals with no evidence.
--------
Soucy testified Thursday that Cafero told him he could not accept a political contribution at the Legislative Office Building. There is no evidence that Cafero knew the envelope had cash.

Cafero said in an interview that he believed Soucy was making a contribution to the House Republican Campaign Committee, so he told Soucy that an aide, John Healey, would punch out, leave the Legislative Office Building and accept the check. Legislators cannot do campaign activities at the Capitol or in the LOB.

http://ctmirror.org/feds-secretly-videotaped-house-leaders-donovan-and-cafero/peter brushnoreply@blogger.com
