Poof, Gone

After attending a Torrington Rotary Club meeting, the Torrington Register Citizen reports, Democratic nominee for the U.S. Congress Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, was whisked away by his handlers before he could be asked any pointed questions concerning Vietnamgate.

“That’s what happened in Torrington this week. During a visit to the Torrington Rotary Club on Tuesday Blumenthal talked about big, national issues. He addressed the Gulf oil spill. He talked about the national economy. He spoke vociferously against ‘party politics.’”

“But he did not talk about his own military service, or his admission that he ‘misspoke’ on that subject."
